Let’s Begin With the EatRawFoods.Org Philosophy
So, what are we about at EatRawFoods.Org? Are we some fringe cult advocating “Death to carnivores?”
Far from it! Tolerance, education, and a willingness to learn. That’s our mantra. We want to live life to its fullest – in the best possible health each of us is able to obtain. We want to improve and to share what we’ve learned.
Each person is on a path, and no one but that person should determine how that path is traveled. So, at EatRawFoods.Org we don’t preach. We don’t have expectations of you, and we don’t throw you “out of the club” if you choose to eat cooked food or, God forbid, a steak! Eat anything that seems right for you.
We sincerely believe that it is in your best interests to eat more raw food, but it is not necessary to be a fanatic, unless that is your choice.
We encourage mindfulness in eating. Simply observe the color, texture, and origins of the food you are consuming. How close to its natural state, if it has a natural state, is it? Ask yourself if what you are choosing to eat is really the best choice for you. It’s no one else’s business what you choose to eat.
Pause and look at a plate full of deep-fat fried food, chips, cola, and other highly processed foods. Do they “look” like they would be good for your body? Do they “look” like they contain an abundance of the nutrients your body requires to function at an optimum level?
I didn’t think so.
So, begin where you are. Try adding some servings of raw fruits, vegetables and nuts to your daily consumption. Notice whether you feel better, or worse. If you eat that cheeseburger, large fries, and a gallon of soda, notice the consequences. How did you feel following the gorge – better or worse? That’s all that’s required in the beginning. If you felt worse, perhaps your body is telling you to make better nutrition choices. If you felt better, keep eating.
And by the way, we don’t claim to have all the answers. We are on the path with you and learning as we go. Join us for the journey. We’ll make our way toward better health and more joyful living.
So again, thanks for dropping by. Come back often and share the experience.
